We got some combos which were under the numbers #2 and #3: two hot dogs and char-broiled cheeseburger. They were so good I liked the smooth and sweet taste of the meet in cheeseburger pickles in the hot dogs were so big and uneasy to eat, but it didn't spoil the taste of it
Definitely one of the fastest Portillo’s drive-through’s. I’ve been to during a dinner rush! My order was perfect and correct and extremely delicious. I got a plain hotdog with nothing on it to dip into cheese sauce as well as a large fry and a Dr Pepper. I was so happy to hear that this Portillo’s has Dr Pepper because a lot of them don’t so that was amazing! Extremely friendly staff that our patient but also Move quickly.
For a chicago style experience this place is fantastic! Lots of different options along with a classic chicago style dog but you cannot order anything without getting the fries with cheese sauce. Atmosphere is very unique to the history of the restaurant, definitely a must have or try when in the area!
Ive always come here for the grilled Tuna sandwich, but they stopped making it. After that there was a long gap and I recently visited Portillo’s again. Same busy environment with families enjoying their meals, laughter and giggles....great atmosphere altogether. Must eat here if you are visiting Chicago.
Boy oh boy where do I even start? The atmosphere brings you back to old times, and they offer the full American spread guaranteed diabetes, or salad if you’re on a diet. Their cake shakes are good and little on the chunkier side, however their double cheeseburger and hot dogs are great! Their moist and fluffy homemade chocolate cake is a staple, and is a great addition to a hearty meal.
I’m came in to buy some Italian Beef to take back home to North Carolina. I was assisted by a young man name “Terrence” and I just want to thank him for such a friendly attitude, and beautiful smile! He was so friendly and spoke with me as if he was truly interested in the reason for my purchase. When I told him I was here for a family emergency, he gave his well wishes and hoped for a speedy recovery for my family member. Thank you Terrence for your kindness!!! Quick bite to eat! Food was delicious and I enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere with lots of History, plenty of seating, fast service. Cool decorations of the 'gold rush ' era I believe. Food was delicious and we all enjoyed our options.
This location has a really great atmosphere, great for family or friends get together. Ordered the char griiled cheeseburgers, chili cheese dog, and italian combo with a side of fries and onion rings with cheese sauce. The burgers are huge and very good! Sides are also a bomb, so make sure to order sides too!
